YWCA
The YWCA is proud to be the oldest and largest women’s movement, providing services for women and their families in our community.
Since 1903, our local programs and services have furthered the YWCA mission of eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people. Over the past 121 years, programs have evolved and included emergency shelter for victims of abuse, economic empowerment education, self-sufficiency programming, dating violence and bullying prevention outreach in local schools, sexual assault survivor services, a gender-specific substance use program, and much more.
In addition to crisis, equity, and empowerment services, the YWCA is a powerful voice for women and children at the local, state, and national levels, advocating for policies that ensure all people are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect and have the opportunity to live their best lives.
